When people hear of Isawall or see it for the first time, they very often have questions right away. Isawall is unique and unlike anything on the market. Because of that, people really have no point of reference to compare it to when they come across it. So having said that, let’s take a look at some of the more common frequently asked questions regarding Isawall.

What Is It?

The first and most obvious question we get when people first encounter Isawall is simply “What is it?” Isawall is a workout system that attaches into any existing wall. Once the unit is attached, the user can engage in hundreds of exercises using any number of awesome attachments. Much like a smartphone where you can download and use apps, Isawall is a platform where you can attach numerous pieces of workout equipment and perform hundreds of exercises with those attachments.

How Much Space Does It Take Up?

This is a common question in large part because people are accustomed to workout equipment taking up a lot of space. Many workout machines can take up an entire room. One of the awesome things about Isawall is that it takes up no space. Isawall simply attaches to your wall. When you’re done working out, you can store your attachments in a small box or bin. You won’t lose an entire room or even half a room to your workout equipment. If you have a small workout room, office, or training center, Isawall is the ideal way to get a great workout in a space conscious way.  A standard panel is 4′ x 8′ and comes out from the wall a mere 2 1/4″.

Can My Isawall Be Customized?

Yes. There are several different types of wood that you can choose from, but if you do not see one that is to your liking, we can customize which wood is used. Different varnishes and colors are also available. The bottom line is that we can customize your Isawall to match existing furniture, fixtures, and flooring. Isawall can also be further customized in terms of sizing if the standard size will not meet your needs.

Which Attachments Should I Get?

This largely comes down to the goals and abilities of each user. At a minimum, we generally recommend at least purchasing the TRX, as well as resistance bands. The reason for this is because nearly everyone can do exercises that utilize these two attachments. Between the TRX and resistance bands, you will have access to over 100 different exercises and variations. The pushup/balance bar is also highly recommended, as it has numerous applications. The more attachments you purchase, the more exercises you can do.

What Kind Of Exercises Can You Do On Isawall?

Isawall offers users the unique ability to choose from hundreds of exercises. The more attachments you get, the more exercises will be available for you to use. Using Isawall you can do numerous bodyweight exercises, balance exercises, functional fitness exercises, rehabilitative exercises, stretches, yoga poses, and more.

Unlike workout machines where you have to lift the weight but not control it, Isawalls exercises are designed so that you must both lift and control the resistance. This is more realistic to daily activities such as lifting and moving objects. It also requires the use of multiple muscles to work synergistically to accomplish the given movement. This is much more realistic to everyday work and life, making it so everyday tasks are not only done more safely, but with less risk of injury.

How Is It Installed?

We can install at your home, office, gym, or fitness studio, depending upon your location. You may also hire your own contractor to install it for you. Isawall comes with complete installation instructions so that any competent contractor can install it. Isawall is attached to an existing wall by drilling into studs within the wall. Your Isawall can be removed and taken with you should you ever decide to move or locate it elsewhere.

How Much Does It Cost?

The base price for Isawall is $1,600.00. Recommended attachments to go along with your wall can be seen in detail and purchased through Isawall’s website at www.isawallsystems.com, (be sure to click on the photo of the accessory you are interested in; more information will pop up). You will not find another piece of workout equipment with the variety of exercises, quality construction and materials, in such a space conscious way as Isawall.

    Hi,

I understand isawall doesn’t take up much space physically, but how much space do u recommend to allot for actually working out using the isawall? Ie) 6′ when using resistance bands etc.

    Thanks,
    Lor

      Lor,
That’s a great question. You will want at least six feet of space away from the wall, and preferably closer to eight. The tougher the resistance bands you use, likely the less distance from the wall you will need in order to do an exercise. The height of the user is also a factor in determining how much distance from the wall you will need. The taller an Isawall user is, the more distance they will want from the wall in order to do certain exercises. This is in part due to height, but taller people also have longer arms and legs, which will affect the distance from the wall needed for some exercises. Certain exercises do not require much space away from the wall at all, such as resistance band triceps extensions, standing resistance band curls, and overhead resistance band presses. If you want to use the TRX, Lifeline for assisted pushups, or the bands for supine (lying on your back) exercises, at least eight feet is preferable. Again, height is a factor in determining how much distance from the wall you will need. Please feel free to contact one of our representatives if you need any additional help. Thanks Lor and I hope that helps!

Hi there, I am interested in the Isawall, mostly as a way to do yoga inversions and pilates springboard type exercises. How far apart are the holes placed and do you know if that is the same or different from traditional yoga walls?

    • Angela Shafer on January 14, 2016 at 2:28 pm

Linnea, SO SORRY for such a late reply. Not sure how your message got lost… my apologies! The holes are 16″ apart. I’m not sure if that’s what traditional yoga walls use for spacing, but I would guess yes. Please let us know if you have any other questions! Angela

Hi! I was just wondering if you have payment/financing options available for Isawall? Thanks!

    • Angela Shafer on January 14, 2016 at 11:35 am

Rebekah, thanks for your question! We don’t offer financing but we do accept credit cards. Have a great day!

Does it matter if the vertical studs in my garage are spaced at 24″ as opposed to the more common 16″?

    • Angela Shafer on May 11, 2017 at 9:47 am

John, hello – the horizontal struts go across the studs so as long as you can hit three, which you should be able to, it will work. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with.

      Regards, Fred
